Description
An account of John Clapperton’s childhood growing up in New Zealand during the Second World War, his travels overseas and his experiences living in the Far North of New Zealand. The author’s aim is to ensure the memories of New Zealand seventy years ago are not completely lost. Book includes the illustrated diary by John’s grandfather, who left Scotland in 1885 aboard The Crusader, and which we have published within verbatim.
